The FAPEO PEO CEO Summit is being held at the Tampa Airport Marriott, August 4, 2010. This program is tailored specifically to CEOs of PEOs doing business in Florida. Teh meeting is sponsored jointly by the Florida Association of Professional Employer Organizations and the National Association of Professional Employer Oraganizations.  Members of either association are welcome to attend.

Unemployment Compensation Reform
While FAPEO successfully delayed the implementation of the unemployment compensation employer contribution increase in 2010 and 2011 we only have the legislative session of 2011 to correct the system.  Currently there are two committees working, one within the PEO industry and another among leading business trade associations developing solutions.  Find out what’s proposed and give your input on how to fix Florida’s Unemployment Compensation system.

Governor and CFO Candidates
There are several candidates in the process of committing to attend the FAPEO Annual Meeting for the opportunity to meet you.  This forum will give you an early opportunity to meet Florida’s leaders for the next decade.

Legislative Report/Florida Elections Update
FAPEO lobbyist, Ron Villella, will provide an update on the legislation that impacted PEO as well as insight into the state-wide elections around the state and how they’ll impact the PEO industry.

PEO Legal Issues Update
FAPEO General Counsel, Mike Miller will review the legal issues impacting the PEO industry.  Over the last couple of months several issues have arisen in the state and federal areas that have a significant impact on your company.  Mr. Miller will provide you with an update so you can prepare today to prevent unnecessary compliance challenges.

PEO Industry’s Plans for Session 2011
A members only discussion on several critical legal and regulatory issues facing the PEO industry, seek member input and reach a consensus on the priorities of Florida’s PEO industry.

The PEO industry within Florida must unite to prevent new harsh proposals from becoming law.  This session focuses on building a consensus within the industry on the issues that are most important to our member companies.

The 2010 PEO CEO Forum will be held at the Tampa Airport Marriott at the Tampa International Airport.
